Colorado - Thursday & Friday

We didn't take a ton of pics on Friday so I thought I'd make a combo post to speed up the process. On Thursday, Uncle Dale & Aunt Susan took us up to a great hiking trail near the cabin. Sam did great and we all really enjoyed it! Gorgeous day and beautiful views, can it get any better? When we got back to the cabin, Sam took a nap and Mommy & Daddy drove back up to Crested Butte for a little couple time checking out the shops and such. Didn't take the camera, just chilled. On Friday, Sam, Daddy & Mommy went into Gunnison to do a little shopping and check it out a little. When we got back there were kites to fly and s'mores to make. Not a bad way to top off a wonderful week in Colorado!

When we went into Gunnison on Friday, we checked out the local playground.

was made in Farmington, MO!

When we got back from Gunnison, Daddy & Sam went up to check out the original homestead in Dale & Susan's community. It used to be a big dairy farm and the original cabin, barn and a few other things are still there.

Then Uncle Dale decided there was just enough wind to fly a kite :o)

Before the sunset, we had to break out the s'mores making stuff!

Daddy showed Sam how to roast the perfect (in his opinion) marshmallow. Mommy thinks they're better after they've been lit on fire a couple of times!

Sam's very first s'more! And if he has his way it will be his last. He was NOT impressed. Said it was too sticky, lol! He took one bite, put it down and went after the rest of the Hershey's bars :o)
