Papa Bob's 60th

On September 23rd, Sam's Papa Bob (my dad) turned 60. Yup, he's officially old ;o) To celebrate, mom decided to throw a surprise party so we headed home to help. To keep the illusion that nothing big was going on, we went down a day early & did our family birthday stuff on Friday night. My mom had also planned a wedding shower on Saturday so dad didn't think anything of it. That's right TWO parties in ONE day IN THE SAME HOUSE. Because my mom is nuts. Love you momma! Here are some highlights of the big weekend. The first photos are grainy because they're from my iPhone. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DADDY!

On Friday night, we took Papa out for Mexican and they embarrassed him in fine style! See that ice cream sundae sitting in front of him? All the waiters came out, plopped that big hat on his head, sang to him, then proceeded to smoosh his face into that sundae. Good times!

Then Sam decided to pull Papa & Bella in the wagon. That went about as well as you'd expect.

So Bella thought she'd try to help. Needless to say they didn't get far! I have video of this too, but am having trouble posting it.

By the time we made it home, we were all worn out! Sam just wanted to lay around and watch TV which is somewhat unusual for him. I love this pic :o)
