Now for a quick Sam update before the picture extravaganza.. two pieces of BIG NEWS... Sam no longer uses his paci except a nightnight time and sometimes at nap. Most of the time he is going without all day long! YAY!!! This is thanks in large part to his new school where they heavily discourage his use of it. We are SO on board with that! Yet another reason to love that place! Also, Sam is now officially in a "big boy bed". Well, I guess it's still really just his crib, but we converted it on Sunday with no objections from Sam & he's done really well. We've only had two small issues, nothing major. First, he fell out of it on Sunday night, but luckily the drop to the floor is VERY short so no damage done just a small minute of crying and he was all good. Then, last night he woke up crying and when I went to check on him he was standing up behind the door. I'm not really sure what happened there. He was obviously confused. But overall he's doing really well with the switch! He's talking more and more and comes out with the funniest things sometimes! Last night he told me his finger hurt and showed me his right pointer finger. I looked it over and didn't see anything wrong so I gave it a quick kiss and asked him if that helped. He said "No. Take it off." So I said "You want to take your finger off??" He says "Yeah. Take it off. Get a new one." then he makes this motion like he's taking his finger off, putting it on the shelf, grabbing something off the shelf & putting it on his hand and says "There. All better." Needless to say I had to laugh :o) He's a character!
Sam had to help daddy "fix" his bed :o)
Now for the Halloween extravaganza!
We got Sam a couple of little pumpkins to paint this year and just let him go crazy.
He was having so much fun :o)
He was having so much fun :o)
The first trick or treating event was a trunk or treat at Sam's school.
Isn't my Spiderman the cutest?
When we went to leave, neighbor Steve was outside so he brought Sammy a little present he picked up for him. Sam LOVES neighbor Steve!
He wanted to eat every piece immediately. Never did fully grasp that you have to wait until you're done to dig in :o)
Also, the kid loves suckers. Pretty much his favorite candy in addition to chocolate. But caramel wigs him out. Too stringy. He will devour a 3 Musketeers bar, but give him a Milky Way and it's no dice.
We also took Sam to his first pumpkin patch this year. He was way more interested in the bounce house & the playhouse than the pumpkin patch, but at least he had fun.
Getting a feeling..
Sam got it into his head that he wanted to pay to ride the pony. He changed his mind very quickly when he got near it.
And thus ends the candy fest!
